Open Doors

We officially opened the doors to our brick-and-mortar Garden Baby store last Friday morning!  It has been an exciting, rewarding, and exhausting week!  The building’s exterior will be painted this upcoming week, hopefully, and the new awnings will be the finishing touch to complete the renovation.  After that, we will have a “pretty” grand opening party to celebrate all that has gone into this project.

We started selling our small line of clothing last April at the Maker’s Fair, here in Ruston, and continued to sell at the Ruston Farmer’s Market Saturday mornings.  Megan and I are both so thankful for those venues, which helped us start to establish our Garden Baby brand.  We are even more thankful that our collection now has a permanent home that does not involve packing it all up each week. We have decided to carry a few other lines of clothing that have philosophies we can get behind (check out their sites here and here and here) as well as a small selection of home décor accessories that create a cozy, natural feeling environment.

Wee Kipp with our In The Meadow Play Tents

As you may have seen on our Instagram, this weekend we hosted a little giveaway. Any person who dropped into the store and purchased an item was entered to win one of our In The Meadow Play Tents – and we are pleased to announce, the prize went to our new friend Harlow! Harlow actually participated as a model for a photo shoot of our fall line this weekend, and then she won fair and square. Luck is a funny thing.

We would also like to thank her mama, Katie, who is a photographer and allowed us to borrow a few of her photos of Lolo in some GB apparel that we will be featuring on the site! Check out her work, here.

Our little shop feels good, and it feels great to share it with our customers, old and new!  Our Garden Baby doors are open – come and see us soon, we’d love to have you.

See you soon,
